Switzerland has always been a market with a strong focus on innovation and quality—two core values that also drive Fortech’s evolution. For this reason, the country represents a strategic market in our long-term journey of growth and international expansion.
Our first concrete milestone comes in the Canton of Ticino, where a private operator has chosen to fully adopt our technology to upgrade its entire network. This project not only marks our entry into the region but also stands as a significant acknowledgment of the value of our solutions in a demanding environment like the Swiss market.
The implementation required extensive localization work, both in hardware and software. We developed specific features — including dual currency support (euro and Swiss franc) — and obtained the necessary EP2 and ATEX certifications, which are essential for the approval of payment systems in Switzerland.
At the same time, we are actively working to expand the presence of our advanced mobility payment ecosystem, developed in collaboration with key players in the energy and payment sectors—with self-service terminals already operational and new opportunities currently under evaluation.
